On July 12th, 2025, the All-Africa Students Union (AASU), in partnership with AIESEC in Ghana, hosted over 100 vibrant and visionary young people at the Youth Speak Forum held at the British Council, Accra. The event served as a dynamic platform for open dialogue, collaboration, and collective problem-solving among a rising generation determined to shape Ghana’s and Africa’s future.
Themed “Empowering the Ghanaian Youth for Sustainable Growth and Climate Action,” the forum sparked deep, solution-oriented conversations on critical issues that define the current and future trajectory of the country. Topics ranged from job creation in emerging sectors and digital transformation for inclusive development, to green entrepreneurship as an engine of economic growth and climate justice as a moral imperative for sustainable development.
Participants engaged in inspiring keynote presentations delivered by industry leaders and changemakers, thought-provoking panel discussions that unpacked systemic challenges, and interactive workshops that translated ideas into actionable strategies. These sessions emphasized not just the urgency of tackling climate and economic issues, but also the central role of youth leadership, innovation, and cross-sector collaboration in driving lasting change.
The Youth Speak Forum was more than just an event it was a catalyst for empowerment. It equipped participants with knowledge, networks, and tools to champion inclusive growth, sustainability, and innovation in their communities. The shared energy and commitment in the room reflected a new wave of youth activism one rooted in action, creativity, and resilience.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the participants, speakers, facilitators, and partners who contributed to making the Youth Speak Forum 2025 a resounding success. Together, we are building a future where Ghanaian youth are not just beneficiaries of progress but leaders in shaping it.
